Loose skin pre-shed?

I'm a first-time owner, expecting the first shed soon. Snake had foggy eyes 3 days ago, blue the next, and back to clear now, but his skin is very loose. Humidity is between 60 and 65 percent. He's eaten each of the last two weeks, after refusing food for 3 (switched from pink to fuzzy to fix that). Most recent feeding was 4 days ago. Is the loose skin likely just from preparing to shed? Do I need to try and feed more often?
