When should I feed?

I got this beautiful (3-4 year old girl) from a local rescue (yesterday) and the owner told me I could feed as soon as today, but I was thinking of waiting a bit due to the move... He said she's a great eater, but I'd rather not waste the opportunity. I would've preferred to wait the full week, but seeing the situation would it be better to feed her asap?
