Post Body

Hi,

I recently purchased an 5 year old retired breeder female BP because she was beautiful and at a great price, however, I have noticed that she behaves much differently than my other BP which I was gifted last year. I am curious to know others' thoughts, is the adult breeder acting way different because of the way breeders keep them for all of their life?

My younger BP is very calm and seems happy being out of his enclosure, and most of all is sweet when being handled.

The new one (Retired Breeder) is much different she'll curl up and gets restless when I try to handle her, and even refused to eat F/T rats but ultimately took one after trying different tactics.

Some background: They have their own 4x2x2 PVC enclosures, with plenty of clutter, fake plants, water bowls big enough to soak in, 4 hides (2 in the middle along the back wall, 1 in the hot side, and 1 in the cool side, temps range from 89*F -- 78*F with humidity in the mid 60s to mid 70s temp dependent, and the bedding is Reptichip.
