Male Python stopped eating
Post Body

My male ball python that I’ve had for 4-5 months has recently stopped eating. Since I’ve had him he has gone on 2 hunger strikes. The first was during his shed so it made sense. But now it’s been about 3-4 weeks since he has eaten a rat.

My male is about 8 months old. Since his strike he has not been losing weight but he has been super active at night. Usually he gets like this when he is hungry. But he is uninterested in both live and frozen rats right now.

His husbandry is good and clean. And he has good hides that he uses daily with no stress. During the day he is normal and sleeps soundly.

The only thing I can think of is that I have a female in the same room and it’s breeding season.

Any advise?
