Hello! I'm well on my way to getting my first ball python (first snake)/(first reptile in my adult life) and I wanted to check with you all on your thoughts for my setup so far.
I've purchased a 4x2x2 reptile kages pvc enclosure, a herpstat 4, arcadia deep heat projector, arcadia halogen heat lamp, arcadia proT5 shadeDweller, and arcadia jungle dawn LED. I felt like these were the most essential pieces to gather before hides, plants, substrate, and water bowls.
Does this all sound like a good start? What else am i missing? Am i going overboard with all of those arcadia lights? From the research i've done it seems like with all of the arcadia fixtures it'll provide sufficient IR-A, IR-B, UVB etc. Basically, i want to do it the RIGHT way from the jump and provide the best life for Mr. Sssnake.
My Kages PVC enclosure also has a 9" screen cut-out on the left side of it.
Please flood with me any thoughts, advice, and so forth to help with someone completely new to the snake game. I'm getting really excited!! Can't wait to be dialed all in before i receive my new Leopard Desert Ghost friend :)
