So I have done some research and it seems this item can only be obtained during the aprentice portion of the Planar sphere stronghold. If you choose to make it all of them die...

But in order to get some xp from this portion you need them alive, plus you get a permanent potion seller.

Im nit sure what to do, tell them to make it and let them die? Is the staff good enough to ignore the xp loss ?

Is there another way to get this staff or shoudl I just forget about it since I know there might be a better one(Magi)?

My main guy is a mage so idk, bothboutcomes are pretty personal to me but if I would rp this situation I would tell them to not make it.
