Do I appear to be balding or do I just have thin hair?

When I was younger (14) my hair started turning grey and coming out in the shower a lot. I thought I had started balding but now 12 years later it looks like this and hasn’t really changed much since. My moms side of the family has thin hair but they’re not bald (the men died before I was born but my grandma and mom both have thin hair)
So my question is: am I balding or do I just not have thick hair? I don’t really care either way but I’d like to know.
