When I have been able to get the game to work, I've been having a good time. There is that perfect Switch game where you can sit and play on the porch for an hour while drinking a beer (Hades, Slay the Spire) and have a good time. Trying out all the Jokers you unlock, trying out new cards, new builds, and trying to get high scores. It is a great game.

However, for me the game rarely functions well. I tried four different controllers, including a brand new pair, and all had problems with controls. Simply put, you could not use the joystick or direction pad to pick cards, which made just playing the game feel much more like an annoying chore. I've had some success in restarting the game, but it appears to be a bug caused by the game itself. Fix that, and it is the perfect Switch game. But for now it is tough to recommend.
