Breathing...help
Post Body

So, to start off, I'm relatively new to the pipes, but I've never had much luck playing on my set. I have seen other people play enough to know that they can take a breath while playing, but It feels like if I take a breath, my bag deflates too quickly and I've basically got to keep blowing constantly to keep pressure up enough to sustain any notes.

My instructor says I should be breathing every 3 seconds or so, which I'll admit, is hard for me to do. (I'm a trombone player, so I'm used to holding out). But idk if this is an arm pressure problem or if it's a bag problem or what. I've already checked everything to be sure it's airtight. I don't seem to have as much problems playing on someone else's set as I do playing on mine. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here's the info on my set.

2020 McCallum AB 01 pipes,

Small Ross Livingstone hybrid (red) bag

Ezee drone reeds (inverter bass)

Pro air drone valves

Melvin Chanter Reed (super duper easy)

Infinity Chanter
