I'm planning on bringing my pipes to a college ministry conference this summer and I was wondering if y'all have any suggestions for tunes that would work well around sunrise and others that would work well around sunset.
Would slower tunes work for the morning or should I learn some reels?
I'm thinking some sadder tunes (Hector the Hero, Lord Lovats Lament) or retreat marches (When the Battle's O'er) would work for sunset. I'm not sure where to find similar tunes in feeling to these.
Also for the evening, should I learn some piobaireachd, and is Flowers of the Forest reserved like Taps for funerals?
Sorry about the number of questions here, I'm just trying to build my repitoire with diversity.
Any suggestions or advice are welcome
