Roommate drunkenly harassed me for taking antidepressants and screamed about it in our street…. Don’t know what to do
Post Body

So, backstory: I am a 29/f professional working an 8-5 job M-F, sometimes longer. I also have a large dog who I walk in the morning, come home and walk during lunch, and walk again 2x when I’m home from work (this is important later).

I live with 3 other people: one is a very laid back and chill 27/m engineer who I get along with very well (we’ll call him Pete), another is a 26/f bartender (we’ll call her Sara), and the third is a 30/f (we’ll call her Emily) teachers aid/bartender on the weekend with Sara.

Now, I’ve lived in this house for 4.5 years now and am very close with my landlord. He’s super chill and basically comes to me first if there are any problems. Sara has lived in the house before and we actually got along very well before this. She moved out of state for a year and I offered her a room in the house again since she was coming back, to which she accepted. However, it’s been a nightmare ever sense.

Since Sara has moved in, we needed a 3rd roommate and she suggested her coworker Emily. This is when I should have spoken up and said no, but I’m super busy with work and my dog and figured it was less stressful for everyone if her friend just moved in. Mistake.

Since Sara and Emily have moved in 6 months ago, the environment has been nothing short or toxic, with everything coming to a head on Saturday night. I had a few friends over on Saturday night and so did she. She cornered me about an issue I briefly told her about earlier in the day about a work problem I’m having and accusing me of sexual harassment. She did not ask me further questions- just accused me of sexually harassing someone I work with. I told her that she has no idea what she’s talking about and dismissed her, to which she screamed at me in front of my friends - “you’re crazy.” Ok. We didn’t speak for the rest of the party, and she left with her two friends.

Later in the night, around 2am, she is banging on the door and screaming in the street because she left her keys in her room. I take a strong sleeping medication that knocks me out COLD, so it takes a lot to wake me up. I eventually do wake up and open the door for her, apologize for the delay as I took my medication (that she is aware of), and she mocks me. She is clearly belligerently drunk and is screaming while stomping up and down the stairs that I “need my medicaaaaaation” and calling me a “prissy cunt”. She also yelled up to my room that I don’t excercise my dog enough (he is 14 months old and probably gets about 5 miles at least in per day). All this time, she is slamming doors and going out front of our house to scream about how I’m a “bitch” and a “motherfucker”. I was able to record some of this behavior on a voice meme app that I have. I’m mostly upset because she tried to make me feel less than for seeking psychiatric help for some depression issue I experienced.

This is not the first time she’s harassed me like this, but it is the first time I’ve been able to record it. She uses my things and breaks them, complains about my dog (who doesn’t bark EVER and is beautifully trained), and just doesn’t contribute because she says that she doesn’t make “as much” money as I do. Am I wrong for thinking that this is not my problem?

Really don’t know what to do. All of the furniture, dishes, pots, etc. in the house we’re purchased by me. I have always shared, but I feel like, at this point, I’m at my breaking point.

I reached out to my landlord about this issue. What do I even do about this at this point?
