Advice on bad roommate

I've been living with my roommate for 4 months now, and they decided they wanted a cat. I told them that I am VERY allergic to cats, and also we did not pay a pet deposit. They refuse to pay the deposit or get rid of the cat. I'm to the point that I can barely breath in my own home. Is there anything i can do?
