One of the reasons I thought of this is because reddit has been descending into a piece of garbage lately and one of the symptoms of that disease is the focus on AMAs. So I was thinking that instead of participating in it, we could host the AMA here. Turning the subreddit private beforehand is optional but seems like the only way to combat having the scum of this site show up and ask garbage questions that are typically upvoted to the tops of AMAs.
