Hi, i have been struggling against players who played mixed. I am a male and also have a male partner.
If the opposing side has a strong male player with a relatively weak female partner, how do we capitalize and with my male partner who plays and rotates like men’s doubles?
Where should we aim against mixed doubles playstyle? What adjustments do we make from MD opponents to XD opponents?
Thank you for your help.
Mixed doubles is a very offensive play style with tactics. If you’re playing MD against XD with a male with strong attack stats, you gotta strategize to make them rotate more and less opportunities for easy smashes.
Your strategy will also depend on how “nice” you want to be on court.
Nothing wrong with flick serving the female 11 times in a game. If she serves to you, net return an arms length away but still her shot to return. Punch clear her and tight drop in front of her as soon as she clears back.
