When you start warming up on the court, what do you start with - drives or clears?
(I was very much used to start with clears in my first club, but now I see nobody's doing it in the club I am now)

Yup. Also, clears are great for measure depth perception if youâre playing at a venue with high ceiling or no walls around the court. Youâll train your eyes for the drops and smash during the games

I find softer drives to start be a less âimpactâ way to warm up and get the heart rate going. Itâs good for waking up your body and testing reaction times.
Clears to warm up are ok to start first⌠but the hard part is knowing whether you have the full body technique to clear without relying on brute strength. Iâve seen too many people start with clears and then only swing as hard as they can and injure their shoulders or elbow.
Depends how much time youâre given to warm up.
