I am planning a trip to Colombia, Peru and Bolivia for a couple of months at the beginning of January 2023. The original plan had been to fly to Colombia and work down south but this means we would be reaching Cusco around early February which I've heard is the peak of the rainy season.
Would it be better to fly straight to Cusco with the aim of seeing Machu Picchu in better weather at the beginning of January (want to do the salkantay trek)? Or would the difference between early Jan compared to early Feb be minimal?
