Iām from the northeast coast where you can just drive into random national parks and park off the dirt road basically anywhere, to set up camp in the middle of nowhere. Very secluded, hardly anyone ever drives by.
Itās a surprise to me that the last few states Iāve been in, Ohio and Indiana, only have state parks with tollbooths and ādesignated camping areasā only. No dirt roads to just get lost in.
What are my options for the next few states, either Missouri or Kansas?? I donāt wanna pay $10-20 a night to camp on a site next to other people. I want to camp backwoods.
