I recently quit my cozy WFH job with one of the biggest banks in the United States to go backpack and travel the world. I plan on going to Thailand and living in a temple with monks for a while, the trip is approaching soon and I’m honestly getting a bit scared about planning and making sure I got everything “right”. This is my first time being away from my loved ones and I’m a bit emotional, excited, but very emotional. I Made this decision after nearly dying on my birthday and losing the love of my life, I knew I needed change. Can anybody here share their stories or any words of encouragement? Maybe it’s not the best sub for this, but I’d like to hear from more seasoned travelers
