Planning out a trip to the Wind River Range near Jackson Wyoming and looking for inspiration / trip itineraries. I appreciate any help / ideas!! Super curious about the permit-reservation requirements out that way as it seems itβs part National Forrest, and part State Park. Ideally, dispersed camping would be best so to minimize the hassle of bureaucracy while planning a trip in nature. I usually pay for permits and campsites so this is my first time not wanting to fight for a few nights in the wild.
Any must see attractions, trails, alpine lakes, etc?
Shooting for early August.
Willing to do up to 50 miles over 5 days. No less than about 25 miles over 3 days.
