bztransmit64.exe high memory usage (1GB+)

I haven't closely checked the memory usage on my PC so can't tell if this changed recently: bztransmit64.exe takes 1-1,2GB memory while backing up and up to 1,7GB when producing file lists. Is this normal?

Info on my setup:
Windows 10 Pro - 1809 64bit
8GB System RAM
Backblaze version (latest as of writing) 5.4.0.245
Files backed up 500 000, size around 55TB

edit:
Investigating further - the memory consumption sometimes drops back to normal levels (100 MB) however the memory usage stays very high because the RAM is still committed to the exe. Here a picture from Resource Monitor, 100MB actual usage but 2.3GB RAM commit: https://i.imgur.com/AKM8cRG.png
