Itās only ad hominem if itās wrong homie š¤·š¼āāļø.You are refusing to accept this is common practice and itās administrative in nature. Itās absolutely not stolen valor. Seriously dude. You donāt get to put your fingers in your ear and when someone says youāre acting fucking ignorant you act all shocked. Maybe actually look at shit objectively instead of assuming you are arguing from a position of being correct. I am a primary fucking source here I was in the military. Anyone else that has served will say the same. Itās not stolen valor. Period.
Iām not wrong though. Youāre an imbecile lmao. Iām sure the 5 second google search was absolutely exhausting.
Thatās LITERALLY what I fucking just said in the second paragraph. You obviously know nothing about the military. You say your rank at retirement. The reduction in rank is for administration purposes only. EVERYONE does this Itās not stolen valor lmao what a crock of shit. Man you would be so disappointed to learn about the history of brevet ranks if this gets you riled up.
Please feel free to prove me wrong. The ONLY situation I have seen an early promotion without the requisite requirements met is for officers who go to a military junior college, commission after 2 years, then have something like 3 years or so to get their bachelors.
I honestly donāt know much about his history other than his length of service and branch and that he was senior enlisted. What you seem to be describing is ātime in gradeā which means he wouldāve achieved the rank of MSG or whatever but didnāt hold the position long enough to retire at that rank, thus you are retired at that lower rank/pay grade instead. You keep the rank and title though because you earned that shit.
Thatāsā¦ not how promotions in the Army work. Like not at all.

I have served. I donāt feel like Iāve been spit on. Heās not a slave. He gets to retire whenever the fuck he wants. He put in over his 20. Heās Gucci. Idgaf if he retired the day before his unit deployed to Baghdad or wherever they were slated to deploy. He owes nobody anything. He did his time and he did it with distinction. Anyone saying otherwise is too chickenshit to serve in the first place.
