Ever since corona happened, the racism against asians especially east asians has risen so much. Ive been on tiktok for years and lately whenever an asian or east asian person is visible on screen, regardless of what the video would be about, i would inevitably see racism in the comments every time. It got to the point of not being able to focus on the video itself but rather thinking about what kind of racist comment about asians will be said this time. Eventually deleted tiktok but it has come over to instagram reels aswell and they have been harrassing asian people when they are just enjoying daily life. The main stream entertainment has turned so much into blatant racism against asians that i just cant take it anymore. Even the “red pill” movement consists of asian slurs being thrown around by every entertainer like Zherka or Sneako and people just dont seem to care much about it. Never knew people cared that much about race especially that you are asian because ive been growing up in an asian country so nobody would say anything about your race or ethnicity. Even looks like the asian american people have been desensitized to the racism and just laughs it off like a joke or something. But when another race is being made fun of, they would jump to the rescue and call out every minor detail of the joke and call it racism.
