Welcome back for our final discussion of 2021, Middlemarchers! Today we'll be talking about adaptations of Middlemarch and our final thoughts on the book. The two adaptations I'm familiar with are the 1994 BBC adaptation starring Juliet Aubrey and Rufus Sewell, and this web series produced by a group of college students. If there are others, I'm sure we'd all love to hear about it!
Some discussion questions are in the comments below to get us started. I wish you all a happy new year and all the best in 2022. This group has been a real light for me this year and I personally feel I've learned a lot from reading Middlemarch (twice now!) in these challenging times. Thanks to everyone who ever read, commented, modded, or participated in any way in this community. You've made it a great two years of Middlemarch!
