11 hour car drive

Post Body

I’m planning a 11 ish hour drive and have to bring my axolotl. Last time I made this move it was a bit of a nightmare; I fed him the day before, he threw up. His temp was perfect the entire time because I had a fan blowing the entire drive. This time I’m thinking more of a cooler. Any advice, suggestions. No comment is a dumb comment I’ll take anything. Just want to make this the least stressful experience for him (and that way it’s less stressful for me too).

Is there anything I can add to the water to make it less stressful for him? Last time I used his own tank water, I’ve heard some people say to just use new treated water?

I’d appreciate any and all advice. Thanks in advance!!

Attached is a picture of my late cat axolotl sitting.
