Anybody else’s axolotls picky? I recently changed mines diet from blood worms to Canadian night crawler worms. He had spent more time eating bloodworms than he should’ve so maybe he just got used to them? It was going well except the third day after his second time eating the new worms I woke up to all the worms just thrown back up on the floor of his tank. I tried feeding them to him again and he either ignores them or spits them out?
I’ve had a sort of conditioned taste aversion myself with cotton candy and a nasty case of stomach poisoning but is that something that happens with axolotls too??
Or is he just being picky?
Also any advice on food? Like specific names of other kinds of earthworms that y’all find work well too
I’ll probably feed him some blood worms if he doesn’t eat the nightcrawlers today just so he has some food in his stomach.
As always here’s a picture of his face 🙂
