Happy National Pet Month from the mods of r/aww!

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a national pet month contest in the month of May, complete with prizes! The contest will be beginning Friday, May 6th and running for 3 days (through Monday).

The top prize will receive a custom community award hand drawn by the amazing u/IamDeirdre with Snoo and your pet! Prizes from each category will receive community awards as well!

How to enter:

Beginning Friday, new submission flairs will appear that you can begin using. Simply use the flair that best represents your animal's type and you are entered!

New submissions will be accepted for 3 days.

Contest rules:

1. Pictures or video submissions must be your own original content!!! r/aww's Rule 9 will be strictly enforced.
2. One entry per user
3. Once all submissions are collected, we will open up Predictions (a new Reddit feature) where you can vote for your favorites! We will run this as a single-elimination bracket with multiple rounds until there is a champion from each category, and then an overall grand champion!
4. All champions will receive custom awards. The grand champion will receive an award with Snoo and the pet in the winning submission!

TLDR: Contest began Friday May 6th and runs for 3 days until Monday. Look for new flairs to enter!
