King's Landing, The Crownlands

Jojen walked the streets of King's Landing a bit in awe of what was around him. He could see what everyone said. The city was dirty and full of snakes...good. He wasn't bigger than those that used the streets for their dealings. Stopping outside one of the many taverns in the city he looks to the name. He was at the meet up point. Entering the busy gathering place he, saw that even though the sun was still high in the sky the hearth was warm and crackling.

The tavern was slowly starting to fill up as citizen's were looking for a midday meal to get them through. As he looked at the faces of those inside he could see that it was a good mix of social statuses. Smart, no one should stand out too much. His associate was good. He took a seat in a corner booth as was the instructions and ordered himself an ale. Before long a barmaid came over and placed it before him. "It is wonderful to finally get to meet you." Jojen looked up to the girl's bright smiling face. He noticed something now that he was really looking at her. Her outfit was different than the other barmaids, she didn't work here. Yes she is very good.

"So what news do you have of the city?" Jojen's question was simple. He knew to keep it simple when it came to things like this. "Anything I should know about?" The girl gave Jojen another warm smile. "Nothing worth noting. That being said with you and all your friends here I am sure something will come up. When it does you can count on me to be there." Jojen slid a small pouch of coins over to her. "Now, if I were looking for a certain market here in the city. Would you know where to find it?" The girl scratched her chin and tested the weight of the bag. Jojen gave her a small smirk and slid over another five gold coins to her. "I may have heard of it."

The girl left Jojen with his drink. He leaned back in the chair and looked around the tavern to see if there was anyone worth noting here to speak with.
