I’m looking at using UA miles for IAH/Montreal/Zurich/NCE.

The leg from Houston to Montreal is Economy, Air Canada. The flights to Zurich and on to Nice are Swiss business class. All booked through UA. One ticket.

I’m wondering about seat selection. How can I see the seat maps of these flights ahead of time- before I book? I want to make sure there are two decent seats available on each flight. Do these two airlines charge a seat selection fee? Even in business class?

We have flown LH and OS (Austrian) before. Once we booked the flight we received both a UA and an LH/OS confirmation code and used that to log on and book our seats. Can I assume that AC and Swiss will be the same?

But it would still be nice to see the seat map before booking. Thanks!
