"See that the “I” is a notion and that you are beyond it. There is no need to make it disappear. Seeing the conceptual nature of the “I”, your assumed identity as that disappears. The presumed reality of that assumption disappears, but everything else can stay or not. There is no adequate concept that describes you, even if that be “being”, “consciousness”, “emptiness”, “that” or anything else. Generally, such concepts are used as descriptions of “I”. But seeing “I” itself as appearance, there is no more hook upon which to hang any concepts. You are, even before the idea that you are. That which is indicated by this pointer is the end of the line, because prior to the first (or any) concept, you must be the nonconceptual and unlimited essence or “final reality” itself. It is totally palpable and evident even now, for you are nothing other than this. And THERE IS NOTHING other than this. Everything else is imagined to be in that “pin-prick” of the sense of being, which is itself imagined. What is imagined does not really exist. It is imagined to be. You are to whom all of that appears — because who else is imagining this, except you? You exist as the unimagined and unconditioned absolute reality itself. This is not to be understood, attained, achieved or accomplished. It is the WAY IT IS. It was settled long ago — before time was."

Wheeler's teaching is straight forward and constantly points back at what is, no need for any beliefs when all it takes is a simple look.
He stopped teaching a few years ago, but here is a PDF of one of his books if you are interested: Awakening to the Natural State by John Wheeler
