Mold or part of the graft process?

This is my first graft ever. My avocado plant is about 4 years old. I’m curious if that’s mold growing inside of the crevice of the graft (the fuzzy white stuff) or if it’s part of the graft trying to connect itself. The other side of the graft took pretty well with no gaps. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a proper sized scion so I’m assuming that could be part of my issue. I just removed the graft tape 7 weeks post operation.
