I recently saw a video of a pilot who was flying commercially as a passenger and the crew of the aircraft was short either a captain or FO. Apparently he was type rated for that type of aircraft, he offered his services and was accepted, so he flew that flight(if this video was in fact real) My question is if anyone has heard of a similar situation but for A&P's where a plane was delayed for MX but one of the passengers happened to be an A&P and offered their services to make the plane airworthy in order to take their flight.
