Hey guys. Thanks for the input. I redid both plates on the button rivets and countersink due to my ED not in parameters. But I made sure I measured out everything (including the width of the sharpie markings) and we also worked on drilling out all types of rivets and re-buck the holes. As well as using the C clamp and cherry rivet (the hollow ones, I forgot the name).
After drilling out some button rivets. I messed up the holes. However, my instructor said he’ll allow me to use a 5-4 button rivet instead of the 4-4 rivets we were using.
After all the struggle and nerve numbing pain in the fingers. I finally got it and got 100’s on both plates and a day early (it’s due tomorrow)
So since I finished my work early. I offered to stay longer and they said I could help them with one of their Cessna 172’s (at least it looked like one. It was missing the whole empennage and wings.) Then I moved on to a Learjet that probably hasn’t flown in 20 years.
And for clarification. My sheets of metal I got 100’s on were not the ones in the photos from the past few days.
