Hey all! Not gonna lie, seasonal depression is kicking me rn, so I figured I would tell my story of how I got into raves and see if there’s any others like me on here.

So! The year was 2005. I was a freshman in high school (15). Where I live, there wasn’t many goths. I stuck out like a sore thumb! Then I met my best friend, who was the only other goth at my school. It didn’t take long for us to find eachother lol. And you guys…… she was such a bad influence on me 😅 We got piercings at shady places that didn’t question a couple of 15 year olds together, we went shopping, movies, arcade to play ddr, hung out at each others houses. You name it! Then one day she convinced me to get a fake id so we could check out our local goth scene. I was kind of nervous, but went through with it. Then that Friday we hit the scene. And it was awesome! Lots of goth music, industrial, and electronic. That’s when my interest in electronic music started. A few weekends later we started checking out raves and the rest is history!
