I go to shows because I want to enjoy the music and dance. I don’t want to learn your little alien plushie’s name and give you a kiss, I don’t want your little duck or sprout of whatever. I’m not wearing any Kandi on my own volition, I’m not going to turn you away if you offer to give me one but I promise that I will not treasure this moment forever.

And gosh, the way people act like they’ve lost a child if they get fucked up and leave whatever object they’re overly attached to, I’m over it.
