I grew up going to metal concerts up to when I was in my really 30s, and always enjoyed the crowd energy ... freaking amazing. Hoping the rave energy matches that of metal, kind of a bucket list thing.
Having never been to a rave, what should I expect? Age ranges?
I would prefer to go an outdoor European rave, and my wife is on the fence about going but probably would. I'll be in Norway late October/early November, probably too cold for an outdoor one. There might be a stopover in Paris, so that might be an opportunity.
So, what's the creep factor of an old dude going to a rave?
It's a rave not an RnB Club. 🤷🏻♂️
Go forth and enjoy.
True but buying drugs on location has never been a good idea and is an abhorrent one nowadays.
Crap! time is short, birthday coming up. Maybe I can get an age requirement waiver, call it a "grandfather" clause 😂

I watch concert videos from time to time, and the European raves seem to be a larger production? Maybe I'm not articulating it right, or ice never seen a US rave concert on YouTube. Also, just from my general experience, Americans tend to get out of hand ... Yes, I'm an American.
I live in an area of the world where the rave scene is pretty much non-existent outside of very small nightclubs, but I travel to the US often. Maybe I'll just look for something in Texas that's a midsize To cut my teeth on.
