29yo M from Baton Rouge here looking to visit LA next week. I really only have May 24 to try to get an LA experience then have to go to Temecula for a wedding. I'll be travelling alone so a bit nervous about going to my first rave in an unknown city alone. But I'm staying in a hostel in Santa Monica so fingers crossed I meet someone who likes to party there.

All I see is how unsafe certain parts of LA are and with me not knowing the city I'd like to save me getting robbed for another day. (Thanks reddit for the skid row heads up). I've looked on DICE, RA, 6AM, and LA Raver for some events popping up and may try to go to one of those. The underground/ afters scene looks like a fun place to take a little trip, dance, and vibe, just wanna make sure I'm in a good place to do so. Any advice on finding these or going alone to them? Definitely planning to Uber
