Always such a hot topic but isn't it quite likely that you're just not hearing people say 'excuse me'?
Unless you're yelling really loudly at every single person you're trying to squeeze past, isn't it more likely that people just can't hear the person saying excuse me? Especially with incredibly loud music and people being impaired by alcohol/drugs, even if I'm just trying to talk to my friend, I have to basically scream and lean into their ear.
I often say "GREETINGS BOSS/CHIEF/KING" which either makes them uncomfortable enough to move or happy enough to shake my hand so I can sashay around them.
