For me it's probably night. I love these super scenic locations you can only appreciate during the day but the overall vibe, lighting and wardrobe flexibility (in the sun you can often get into a situation where putting on more while taking a break is agonizing but less leaves you cold) puts it ahead still. Plus I feel like the crowds are kinda better.
