Since there's been a few posts in EDM related subreddits about Bassnectar's return. If you're still defending this POS at this point decrying lack of evidence here's what Bassnectar himself said did and didn't happen in a statement to Vice:
Though Ashton denies most of the claims of the lawsuit in the response filed last week, he does acknowledge talking to the women online through Twitter DMs. In addition, the response reads, “Ashton asserts that, if materials within the statutory definition of ‘child pornography’ were ever received, Ashton: (1) possessed less than three matters containing any visual depiction proscribed by the relevant paragraph; and (2) promptly and in good faith, and without retaining or allowing any person to access any visual depiction or a copy thereof, took reasonable steps to destroy each such image.” He confirms in the response that he met with the women at several of the times they allege, some when they were under 18, but denies that they had sex at those times. He also admits that he spoke to Ramsbottom on the phone last year, but alleges that Ramsbottom illegally recorded that call.
So:
He admits he was hanging out with a 17 year old at the times alleged but that they "didn't have sex"
There may have been three images of underage girls but he destroyed them in good faith.
The creepy phone call with one of the girls was real but illegally recorded.
He shouldn't be hanging out with 17 year olds that is incredibly creepy even if you believe no sex occurred. I honestly don't buy that the no sex occurred. His statement about the images is legalese that "yes image were received but they just technically weren't child porn and he deleted them. Like that is not a situation any person should ever allow themselves to be in where you have to make that type of statement. You can listen to that phone call yourself as it is incredibly damning. In the call he admits having a relationship with her at 17 and "would never do that again".
Don't defend this guy. Don't buy/stream his music. Boycott any comeback tour, shows, or festivals that book him.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Just my opinion, but conflating consenting relations with a 17 year old, who for all intents and purposes is essentially the same as an 18 year old, really dilutes the the actual horrific child sex abuse of kids under the age of 5. Does nobody else think that? Would it really be any different if she was 18 years and 1 day old vs 17 years and 11 months old?
I see you support Orson Scott Card despite his strong anti-gay views and support for Trump, does that not bother you?

Well no, there’s actually at least a full year of separation there between 16 and 18. Is it possible that a 16 year old might be as developed as an 18 year old? Sure, but not likely because there’s at least a year of growth there. From 17 to 18 the max time of separation is at most a year, and as little as a day. Point is, if you have an issue with this, you should have an issue with 18 year olds too, otherwise it’s just virtue signaling.
