Don't feel a lot of Love or Unity as a solo raver

Post Body

I've started getting into raving, which is so FUN, but I've only really gone alone so far. I've raved a couple of times in the USA (bay area, California), which on all counts has ended up with me raving alone, having exchanged no more than a courtesy smile or a few words. I mean, I do enjoy dancing a lot (which is why I go alone), but I would like to make a few friends, and maybe even dance with a few people.

I also realize that these issues stem from a fear/ anxiety of initiating interactions, but it is so tough to say anything to someone else with the music so loud. I also find it intimidating to approach a group of people around the bar or other areas. I would love to know how you guys approach such situations. My intention (for the most part) is just vibing with people on the dance floor.

For context, I'm a dude. I do feel like I'm whining about me being a wuss and just saying hi, but I would like other opinions as well. Thanks :)
