We are currently testing out Reddit's new CQS filter mainly to combat the annoying spamwaves.
Reddit added a flag to everyone called Contributor Quality Score, but only automod sees it and we don't know how it's calculated. It's supposed to sort trolls and spammers from 'good contributors'.But due to the degen nature of many our members, we think it's interesting to getting a better understanding of it. We can imagine some members might get flagged to lower categories, while our experience with that member is totally fine. I also want to add, the score is your overall Reddit score.
If you like to see your own account score/tier, leave a comment underneath this post.
Automod will reply to top comments only with your CQS.
We will be monitoring what this filter does to our automod for the next week.
The plan is also to provide feedback to r/RedditCQS.
What does this mean for you as a member of avatartrading?
Nothing really. But we do think that it is important to be aware of what Reddit is implementing.
And we want to be transparent about the fact that we are giving this a try for a week.
All filtered posts/comments will always be reviewed by a mod manually.
The only exception on this rule is the known cryptospam, that gets nuked. But unfortunately the cryptospam posts get botted, we are trying to make sure we get the bot comments too. The botted botcomments (and upvotes) make many scams look real, we hope we can counter the comments with this. Because the spammers are getting smarter and smarter.

What is it?
CQS is an internal classification that was established to identify potential spammers or users less likely to contribute positively on Reddit. Every account is assigned a CQS based on a host of signals including past actions taken on a user’s account, network and location signals, and steps a user has taken to secure their account (e.g. email verification). We’ve heard from you that dealing with spam is taking up more of your time, so the goal of this update is to help catch spammy and abusive users at a faster rate so that you can spend more time engaging with your communities and redditing. These scores are then used to place users into 1 of 5 tiers:
Scores are updated regularly, and users have the ability to move up or down tiers based on their activity and/or behavior. CQS scores can then be used by moderators via the contributor_quality field in automod.
More information can be found HERE.
Just to clarify, scores are NOT subreddit based. It's Reddit based.
