One more time it seems like we have a marten bite in an ignition cable. This is a Volkswagen car. As we can only get a pricey, complete set of ignition cables I wonder how to repair such a cable. How can the high voltage insulation be fixed again?
I have two ideas:
use electric insulation tape. However this is probably not doing well in the high temperature environment.
„Weld“ the cable and close the opening from the bite with a lighter. Just melt the insulation a bit… However I wonder if that would work at all.
Any experiences?
