So my truck started making a squealing noise on starting recently. It will usually last for maybe 30 seconds or until I shift out of park. Sometimes if I fully depress the brake pedal, it won't make noise, but it's not consistent on when that will work. Sometimes that trick works when its hot outside, sometimes when it's cold. Sometimes it works if I've been driving the truck for a while and only had it off for a few minutes, sometimes not.
I'm by no means very experienced with engines, but I had a 2002 Camry that did something similar before and was told it was the serpentine belt. I looked under the hood and there are two belts I saw, neither of which appeared to have any visible wear and tear.
Again, I am not very experienced, but I have some tools at home and was just hoping someone might be able to give me some advice or point me towards a solution without taking it into the shop. I want to fix this on my own if I can.
Thanks for reading and any help that comes of it.
