Quick question re: the sale of my truck

So yesterday somebody texted me and we had a pretty long conversation via text. At the end he asked me for the VIN# and a good side shot of the truck. He said it was to give the bank officer who he is trying to get the loan through. Now I already posted a about 15 detailed pictures of it online, so I don't know why he wants more. So my question is: would you give out the VIN# in this case? I'm probably being paranoid, but just wanted to make sure. I realize that anyone can walk up to my truck and look at the VIN, but he is saying he lives about 60 miles south of my location. So I don't know if it's a scam or not.
