Is driving on a spare advisable?
Post Body

Ok so my work vehicle is a 2017 Jeep Compass (POS in my opinion but whatever) I work patrol for a security company and easily put on 190-200 miles a shift. It's been three weeks since the rear passenger side tire blew and a spare was put on. I assumed this was a temporary fix until we could get it into a shop for a new tire but now my boss is telling me the spare is "Just as good as any other tire" and that we dont have to buy another tire until the spare goes out. Is it safe to drive on a spare for an extended period of time especially putting near 200 miles on a vehicle five days a week?

Thanks
