Sensory aversion to water 💧
Post Body

I have a sensory aversion to water and I just wonder if anyone else does in this sub. It feels pretty isolating sometimes when you don't want to swim or even put your feet in the water because people don't understand how slimey and gross the water feels.

The only time I am okay with water is in the shower and even at that, the water has to be kinda cold and it can't touch my face at all. And it still feels slimey.

I think this part is kinda funny cause I feel like a little kid when I do this but-

I quint my eyes shut and hold my mouth closed in the shower so no water gets on my face or in my eyes, mouth etc. And if it does,

I have to stick my whole body out of the shower, reach for my towel and rub my eyes dry until essentially they fall out lol

I also have a hard time drinking water. Because if it doesn't taste right or FEEL right going down, it turns me off and sometimes for a couple of days.

I have gone at most like 3 days of no water because the taste is sometimes just so nasty, even bottled water. If it's not my brand I like, I'll pass.

Does anyone else in this sub go thru this? I feel weird for being so dehydrated all the time in literally every way but I also just hate the water.
