wish people were more understanding, even if they don't know about my diagnosis
Post Body

so disheartening to go into a new social situation (e.g. hanging out with someone new) so anxious to get everything right, and trying so hard, only to find out after the fact they thought you were "weird". went to meet my long term boyfriend's best friend and his girlfriend for the first time, and apparently the girlfriend said "I gave off bad vibes" because "I was too quiet". my boyfriend doesn't tell his friends I have autism, at my request, but I wish people would be more understanding. I wanted them to like me so badly.
