My daughter who is two, is not really speaking, as I’ve posted before. She says a few words here and there repetitively, but she mostly babbles.
Tonight she was getting upset and starting to cry. I got down to her level and asked her what she needed and she pulled on my pants for me to stand up so I did, she then started pulling on me to follow her (usually she pushes me away) so I followed her and she walked over to the bedroom door, and tapped on it.
She was ready to go to bed.
I told her, okay, but we have to change your diaper. She followed me to the box of diapers and climbed up onto the couch and sat waiting for me to get the wipes.
Once we were done she followed me to the bedroom door and climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep.
I’m giddy with pride and excitement and wanted to share.
