I wasn’t diagnosed with autism until recently. My whole childhood was really turbulent because I wasn’t diagnosed and I was dealing with poor mental health. I probably have about 5-10 memories from before the age of 10 and maybe 20/30 from then to now. (I’m 18). My therapist said that this is normal for autistic people that have had a difficult time and a natural reaction to trauma. I just feel like I’m being an imposter about it. Am i overreacting? Is this normal? Does everyone have this many memories?
