i'm currently self-employed through DoorDash because it is the only job that can meet all of my sensory and social needs. however they've hired a ton of new drivers and senior drivers like myself are getting sidelined, so i'm earning way less money than i used to
the problem is, i need to find another job to get my income up again but every job i've worked before has caused me to burn out within 2-3 months because of sensory overload, lack of clear instructions, rude coworkers/managers, overly high expectations, inconsistent work schedule etc. all of which caused me to shut down every single day after work because i had to deal with all that bullshit for 8 hours a day with no accommodations even when i asked for them
the requirements for a workplace i need are as follows: - a calm, quiet workplace - consistent schedule and clear expectations of the work that needs to be completed - ability to wear sensory-friendly clothing (so a lax dress code, think jeans and a t-shirt) i might be able to be lenient on this depending on the uniform or dress code required - little to no social interaction, but honestly if the previous things are met i wouldn't mind a lot of socializing - access to my phone in case i have an anxiety/panic attack and need to get in touch my emergency contacts (fiancée and family)
does anyone have any ideas on what kinds of jobs i can look for, or know any companies or people i can contact? i'm in college right now, online one class at a time so i have a pretty flexible schedule. i can also drive and am willing to work from 11am to 1-2am at night.
i don't know what other info you'd need but i can answer any questions. i'm pretty desperate do anything helps
